Circusbende Festival '22
It is magic, absurdism and reckless laughter. It is a tilting perspective and an ode to troublemakers. It is Circusbende Festival, this edition to be found in Erasmuspark (Amsterdam West) and on the NDSM-werf (Amsterdam North).
Each weekend has its own program with circus as the centerpiece. International companies, professional young talent and fiery musicians alternate at a rapid pace. The performances are predominantly language-free, the terrain is free to enter and at least half of the program is on donation.

Circusbende is one big party! So no place for violence, discrimination, sexual harassment, or possession of drugs or weapons; safety is very important for us; no barking or noise during the shows; no alcohol for people who already enjoyed a few too many drinks or people under the age of 18; and we also wish Circusbende would never end, but camping during the weekend is not allowed.
→ Our food is 100% vegetarian, no animals in the circus and no animals on ya plate.
→ We choose sustainable recycled materials. We therefore don’t want to see disposable plastic materials on our terrain, like straws, balloons and confetti.
→ This year we are introducing a green area (de ‘Groene Stek’) where everything runs on renewable energy.
